Ingram Micro New Zealand and HPE approached Hachiko to create and deliver an engaging Reseller training program to support the move to online / virtual training for HPE in New Zealand. They wanted the program to be interactive and to provide individual milestones and rewards to drive engagement across the channel.
THE PROBLEMS
HPE was seeking to introduce a new way to train their channel partners that provided increased scalability, flexibility and was cost effective. Throw on top of this Covid19 restrictions and virtual training become the obvious path to head down. HPE’s problem was to ensure that the live training was well attended and the on-demand training was utilised by their channel partners. As with all training, it is also critical to ensure your audience understands and can apply their increased knowledge.
OUR SOLUTIONS
The solution was to create an online engagement platform where registered individuals would be able invited to attend live training and also access on-demand training at anytime and on any device. The secret was not just to provide the training, but to test the individuals knowledge in a fun and interactive way and then reward them for their participation. HPE rewarded members with points which were then used in regular online auctions to bid against others for merchandise, gift cards and experiences.
The design
The design brief was to create a co-branded creative concept that was fun, engaging, visually appealing and aspirational. It also had to align with both corporate brand guidelines and be complimentary to other brand initiatives in market.
The results
Individual and partner organisation registrations continue to grow across the channel. Consumption of training content has exceeded the set target and the in the first quarter the program averaged an open rate on all communications of 48%
